Choosing the Right Frames!

Here is a fast and easy guide to finding your perfect frames.

Lets get Started!

1. Determine your face shape

2. Determine which style and frame complement the shape of your face with our helpful guide.

Look for a pair of round or square frames that have more depth than width.  You'll want to break up the long lines of your face, so decorative or geometric frames work as well.

To highlight the eyes and soften the cheekbones, try frames that have detailing or distinctive brow lines, or try rimless frames or oval and cat-eye shapes.

To soften the angles in your face, go for a low-profile pair of glasses. A defined top of the glasses will draw the eye away from your jawline, and slim, barely there frames add delicacy.

Try frames that are thin, light metal or plastic, and slightly rounded. Oval shapes are good for heart faces, as are glasses with a broader bottom than top.

To minimize the width of the top of the face, try frames that are wider at the bottom, very light colors and materials and rimless frame styles.

Those with an oval shape are the luckiest of all! Why are you luckiest, you ask? Because most -- pretty much all -- frames will look great on you.

Avoid glasses with a lot of curves in them, any that mimic your face shape.  Instead, go for straight, angular frames that will add more structure to your face.

Also important to consider in sizing is the physical measurements of the frame. On our site, all measurements are in mm (millimeters). Unless otherwise stated, the sizing goes from largest to smallest value (Frame Length, Temple Length, Eye Length and Bridge Length).

If only two or three values are shown, their corresponding measurements are 1. Frame Length 2. Eye Length 3. Bridge Length)

3. Also keep in mind...
   a. If you have a larger face, a Flat top style frame, such as those from Super would suit you just right.
b. If you have a small or flat nose, a frame with nose pads would be the perfect fit. Mykita offers a great selection of these frames.
